Unlike other consulting and management firms, at Sailfish Marina Management & Consultancy we possess actual hands on marine operational experience at the management and even ownership levels.  One of the owners for example - James Roidis has over 12 years of marine industry experience. He started in 1997 at St. Maarten Ports Authority working in the Maritime Operations Department. In 1999 he moved to Princess Yacht Club now known as Yacht Club Port de Plaisance in St. Maarten as Dock-master working with industry veterans Jeff Boyd and Mario Biabiany. In 2002, James was part of the opening team of the well known Yacht Club at Isle de Sol and managed it from the first day of operations. In 2006 he became the Regional Operations Manager for the Southern Caribbean Region for Island Global Yachting, with responsibility for 4 marinas on St. Maarten, St. Thomas and St. Lucia. His responsibilities included business plan creation, supervision of close 100 employees including 4 facility managers, innovative marketing strategies with a strong emphasis on untouched markets, annual budgeting with consistent lower than budget cost and better than budget revenue results. In addition to the above, in 2004 James also co-founded Octopus Yacht Services, a prestigious yacht agency on St. Maarten.

Our other associates are also well versed in all aspects of multiple location management, from budgeting to productivity to establishing and maintaining business partnerships. We pride ourselves on our proven track record for effectively administering multiple facilities.  One of the strengths of the company is the large amount of marine industry contacts acquired over the years, and its accompanying contact database of over 1500 of these yachting professionals; some of them go back over 10 years.
